For students mapping out their summer, the decision often comes down to a familiar tradeoff: make academic progress, or do something that actually feels like a change of pace. Duke Summer Session 2026 offers a rare opportunity to do both. Spending a summer at Duke isn’t about stepping away from rigor—it’s about experiencing it in a new setting, with new perspectives, and at one of the world’s most respected universities.
Why choose Duke?

Duke University Summer Session is open to visiting students from colleges and universities across the U.S. and internationally, including those currently enrolled or recently graduated. For Harvard students, this means the chance to continue building toward majors, minors, certificates, or general education requirements while studying within a different academic culture—one that prizes innovation alongside tradition. Duke’s summer courses span the arts and sciences and include both required, foundational offerings and novel, interdisciplinary classes that encourage exploration and intellectual risk-taking.

Further Information

Academically, Duke needs little introduction. As a global leader in research, medicine, and higher education, Duke attracts faculty who are deeply engaged in their fields and invested in teaching. Summer Session students are fully part of that environment, not observers on the sidelines. Classes are primarily offered in person, with a selection of online courses available, giving students the flexibility to design a summer that matches their goals while remaining grounded in a true campus experience.
That campus experience is a major part of Duke’s appeal. Duke’s iconic Gothic architecture, anchored by the soaring Duke Chapel, creates a setting that feels both historic and alive, while Durham offers a vibrant food, arts, and cultural scene just beyond the quads. It’s a place where serious academic work coexists with a sense of discovery and balance.
For Harvard students accustomed to excellence, Duke Summer Session is not a detour—it’s an expansion. It’s a chance to push ahead academically, explore new intellectual territory, and experience a different top-tier university in a season designed for growth. If you’re looking for a summer that combines momentum, inspiration, and a change of perspective, Duke invites you to make it part of your story.

The AJGA’s HQ (in-house) internship is a paid, summer opportunity based at the organization’s National Headquarters in Braselton, Georgia, and is ideal for students interested in gaining hands-on experience inside a national sports nonprofit.

Dates: May 11 to August 14, 2026. Application Due February 6, 2026.
Why apply to the HQ Internship?

Interns work directly with AJGA staff across core departments that keep the organization running day to day, including Communications, Player Services, Finance, and Purchasing. Responsibilities range from creating digital and social media content, supporting more than 10,000 junior golf members, assisting with financial tracking and budgeting, and managing tournament inventory and equipment. Unlike event-based roles, the HQ internship offers a behind-the-scenes look at how a major sports organization operates, making it a strong fit for students interested in sports management, business, media, or nonprofit leadership.

About the AJGA
The American Junior Golf Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the overall growth and development of young men and women who aspire to earn college golf scholarships through competitive junior golf. The AJGA provides valuable exposure for college golf scholarships and has an annual junior membership (boys and girls, ages 12-19) of more than 10,000 members from 50 states and 51 international countries and territories. Through initiatives like the Liberty National ACE Grant, a financial assistance program, and Leadership Links, a service-oriented platform that teaches juniors charitable-giving skills, the AJGA fosters the growth of golf’s next generation.
TaylorMade and Rolex are the AJGA’s Global Partners, supporting the AJGA for more than 60 years combined. TaylorMade has served as the Official Ball of the AJGA since 2016. Rolex, in its fourth decade of AJGA sponsorship, became the inaugural AJGA Premier Partner in 2004 and assumed the Global Partner position in 2026. adidas has been with the AJGA for many years and became a Premier Partner in 2026. AJGA alumni have risen to the top of amateur, collegiate and professional golf. Former AJGA juniors have compiled more than 1,000 victories on the PGA and LPGA Tours.
AJGA alumni include Patrick Cantlay, Billy Horschel, Collin Morikawa, Scottie Scheffler, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas, Tiger Woods, Paula Creamer, Jessica Korda, Nelly Korda, Cristie Kerr, Stacy Lewis, Inbee Park, Lexi Thompson and Rose Zhang.

Further Information
Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, the AJGA HQ internship places interns at the center of an organization that runs one of the largest junior golf circuits in the world, hosting 130+ tournaments annually and connecting athletes to 74 colleges across the country. Interns work in a collaborative, professional office environment where mentorship is built into the experience—evidenced by the fact that 85% of AJGA’s full-time staff previously completed an AJGA internship.
Travel Internships
The AJGA also offers Traveling Internships, which are a fast-paced, hands-on experience for students who want to work directly at elite junior golf tournaments across the country. Traveling interns are responsible for helping set up, run, and break down events, assisting with on-course rules officiating, managing equipment and inventory, and supporting customer service for players, parents, and coaches. This paid internship covers travel, lodging, and some food expenses, allowing interns to focus fully on the experience while gaining real-world event operations skills. Designed for highly adaptable, team-oriented individuals, the traveling internship emphasizes leadership, public speaking, and problem-solving in live tournament environments. Interns must be 21 years old by the start of the internship, as the role includes vehicle operation and travel between tournament sites.
