Advertising
The Harvard Crimson is the nation’s oldest continuously published daily college newspaper and the only daily publication of Cambridge, Massachusetts. We work with advertisers ranging from national companies to local businesses, from student recruiters to advertising agencies.

The media and advertising industry is a constantly changing landscape, and our business team is focused on innovative advertising solutions to stay ahead of the curve and deliver results to our clients.
The Harvard Crimson Business Board is unlike any other extracurricular organization on Harvard’s campus. It is a completely student-run business with revenues exceeding $1 million, real and tangible impact, and an incredibly warm community. Tasked with supporting The Harvard Crimson’s independent student journalism, the Business Board powers the operations of a 400+ student organization and its newly renovated building at 14 Plympton St.
Members who invest their time in the Business Board walk away equipped for success in the professional world. They develop a unique capacity to solve problems and think critically while bettering those around them. Our alumni network is vast, including past U.S. presidents, CEOs of Fortune 500 companies, successful entrepreneurs, and influential figures across finance, law, consulting, technology, policy, and more.
Beyond the professional, our business associates are welcomed into a diverse community that lasts far beyond Harvard. The people you meet at 14P will undoubtedly be some of the warmest, smartest, and most creative individuals you encounter during college. To me, these are not only my friends, but a family far from home—united under one roof and one mission.
The Business Board is made up of three departments: Advertising, Programs, and Strategy. Advertising associates spend the majority of their time negotiating with real companies, identifying products that align with their needs, and overseeing the closing of sales and the delivery of campaigns. The Programs department executes ten programs, ranging from business and journalism conferences in Cambridge to writing programs in Seoul. Lastly, the Strategy department oversees both the operational and creative strategy of the business. This team creates branding and marketing materials for our clients while simultaneously streamlining workflows to ensure the sustainability of our business model.
This is a real-life business with even more real stakes. Each year, our associates contribute to the legacy of a 153-year-old institution—one of the oldest of its kind in the world. From executing special-edition pitch sprints to hosting journalism conferences or driving customer success, each person has a meaningful role to play.
This spring, we open the doors of our building in search of a unique group of talented individuals who will help us keep the lights on—confident they will bring The Crimson to new heights.
Welcome to our 2026 Spring Comp!
